How plastic injection moulding is performed
The process starts with the selection and preparation of the appropriate plastic material.
Plastic granules are loaded into a tank on the injection moulding machine.
The plastic material is heated inside a cylinder in the machine.
Once the plastic material is melted and ready to be moulded, it is injected into the mould cavity.
After injection, the plastic material inside the mould is left to cool and solidify.
Once the plastic material has cooled and solidified, the mould opens and the finished product is extracted.
After extraction of the finished product, the cycle can be repeated to produce further components.
